Student Climate Surveys

Hanover Township Public Schools will administer the annual School Climate Survey to students in Grades 3 through 8 beginning June 9, 2026. The survey asks students about their experiences and perceptions of school in areas such as safety, relationships, teaching and learning, fairness, and belonging.

The Board of Education held a public hearing on the 2026-2027 school budget on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Memorial Junior School. Superintendent Toomey and Business Administrator Kran presented the proposed budget to the Board and community members. The presentation addressed the financial pressures facing the district, the decisions driving next year's plan, and the direct impact on Hanover Township taxpayers.

May is Teacher Appreciation Month at Hanover Township Public Schools. Teacher Appreciation Week runs from May 4 through May 8, and we are celebrating the dedicated teachers and staff members who make our district exceptional all month long.

We are inviting families, students, and community members to recognize a teacher or staff member, past or present, who has made an impact. Use our online form to share a short message of gratitude.

We have updated the Spring 2026 NJSLA testing schedule due to New Jersey’s new adaptive ELA and Math assessments.

Students in grades 3 through 8 will take Reading, Writing, and Math assessments, with Algebra for eligible eighth graders and Science for grades 5 and 8.

Parents should review the revised testing dates and contact their building principal with any questions.

Hanover Township Public Schools has announced the appointment of Joseph Kowalski to the Board of Education.

A lifelong Hanover Township resident, father of three, and small business owner, Kowalski brings a strong commitment to education and community service.

Community members are invited to attend the March 24 public meeting, where he will be formally sworn in and begin his service.
