Safety, Security & Infrastructure
The Hanover Township Board of Education carefully chose infrastructure projects that would receive the maximum amount of state aid – 34% of the project costs.
This strategy allows the district to complete critical safety repairs and security updates to our aging school buildings using a mix of local and state funds.
Safety & Security
- Repair and repave parking areas and roads
- Replace roofs and windows at all four schools
- Replace interior doors, including upgraded ADA hardware
- Upgrade security camera systems
- Upgrade public announcement/intercom systems and access controls
- Replace fire alarm systems
- Install a new emergency power system
Infrastructure
- Renovate ceilings, lighting and flooring
- Renovate bathrooms
- Replace unit ventilators throughout the district
- Upgrade building management system for HVAC
- Renovate the existing Media Center
- Install new lockers
- Install new cabinets, counters and storage in the science labs
- Install new rooftop HVAC units
