Kindergarten Registration

Collect these documents before starting registration:

Identity Documents

• Original birth certificate with raised seal
• Parent/guardian photo ID (driver's license or passport)

Residency Proof

• Two proofs of residency (view acceptable documents)
• Completed Residency Affidavit

Health Records

• Physical exam from 5-year checkup
• Current immunization records
• Completed Health Services forms
• Mantoux form

Additional Documents (if applicable)

• Custody documentation (if parents live at separate addresses)
• Landlord affidavit (if renting)
• IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)

Upload all required documents to the registration form.

You can also choose to save and continue later.  You can also save and pick back up on your phone where it is easy to scan or take photos of documents for upload and submission.

After completing the online pre-registration process, parents/guardians will receive a confirmation email. Once the District Registrar has reviewed the pre-registration form, you will be directed to schedule a registration appointment (approximately 20 minutes) at the Hanover Township Board of Education Office. The child doesn’t need to attend. *Parents/guardians who currently have a pre-school student in the district do not need to attend this appointment.

During this appointment, you will submit the required documentation and paperwork (a full list is provided on the following page). After your appointment, the District Registrar will review all materials. Once your documentation is verified, the Registrar will forward your child’s information to the elementary school to which your family is assigned. Please note: Younger siblings will be assigned to their older sibling’s current school.
 

Review your information for accuracy.  Submit your completed registration.

You will receive an email confirmation when your registration is processed.

 

After Registration

Once your registration is approved:

• You will receive confirmation via email
• Allow 3-5 business days for processing
• You may receive email notifications that additional documents are needed/required
• After all required documents are uploaded you will receive a final confirmation email that you're ready for your in-person registration appointment.

Registration Appointments begin in January 2026
Scheduling priority will be given to parents/guardians who complete registration early, and families are encouraged to register as soon as possible so we can begin planning to welcome our newest Hanover Township students.

Once you submit your online registration form, you will be able to schedule an appointment through the portal.  As a reminder, families with preschoolers currently enrolled in our district are not required to attend the in-person registration meeting.
