Welcome to Ms. Tracy's fusion page. This is my 15th year teaching here at MJS. I teach PACT for grades 6, 7, and 8 and Reading for grade 7. 

PACT: This year's theme for PACT is S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Our study will be comprised of 3 main units: The Human Brain, Engineering, and Epidemiology.

7th Grade Reading: The 7th grade Reading curriculum consists of a focus on cultivating strong indepenent reading habits. Additionally, we will study many other units, including Vocabulary in Context, Comprehension Strategies for both Fiction and Non-Fiction Texts, Making Inferences, Using Text Evidence, and Author's Craft. The class novels are Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Crash by Jerry Spinelli, Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, and One Fat Summer by Robert Lipsyte.
