Introduction to Computers - Mr. Cashen - Salem Drive School

SDS Computer Lab 1     SDS Computer Lab 2

Welcome to Computer Class with Mr. Cashen! Here, students of all grade levels will learn important technology skills that will be useful to them now and in the future! Through the use of our iMac computers, Chromebooks, iPads, and more, students will be challenged to think critically, work together with their peers, and be creative through many of the projects we will be doing throughout the school year.

About the Teacher - Mr. Cashen began teaching at Salem Drive School in September 2012, where he currently works as the school's Computer Teacher & Educational Technology Specialist. Before teaching at Salem Drive School, Mr. Cashen worked as a substitute teacher in the Hanover Township School District and worked 8 years as a Program Assistant in the Hanover Township School Age Child Care program with Early Birds, Kinder Kids, and Aftercare.

Ever wonder how your favorite computer or video game works?
    Welcome to the
    Hour of Code!
Salem Drive School students have been participating in the Hour of Code through Code.org! The Hour of Code challenges students to learn how coding works and what goes into programming a computer or video game. Through Hour of Code, students have the opportunity to play online games that get them to think like programmers! Just click on the "Hour of Code" picture above if you would like to continue playing these games at home (and teach everyone at home what you learned about coding!). Have fun!
