How to Add an Email Address to Your Safe Sender List
Adding an email address to your safe sender list helps make sure important messages go to your inbox instead of spam or junk.
Gmail
- Open Gmail.
- Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select See all settings.
- Click Filters and Blocked Addresses.
- Click Create a new filter.
- In the From field, enter the email address you want to allow.
- Click Create filter.
- Check Never send it to Spam.
- Click Create filter again to save.
Yahoo Mail
- Open Yahoo Mail.
- Open an email from the sender.
- Hover over or tap the sender's name or email address.
- Select Add to contacts.
- Enter or confirm the contact information.
- Click Save.
If the email is in Spam
- Open the Spam folder.
- Select the email.
- Click Not spam.
- Add the sender to your contacts.
Outlook
- Open Outlook.
- Click the gear icon for Settings.
- Select Mail.
- Select Junk email.
- Find Safe senders and domains.
- Click Add safe sender or Add.
- Enter the email address.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
AOL Mail
- Open AOL Mail.
- Open an email from the sender.
- Add the sender to your contacts or address book.
- Save the contact.
If the email is in Spam
- Open the Spam folder.
- Select the email.
- Click Not Spam.
- Future messages from this sender should go to your inbox.
