Counselor in Training (CIT) Program

 Description: Hanover Township residents entering grades 9 and 10 in September can apply to be part of the Counselor in Training (CIT) program for Camp HTSACC.  The program is designed to train teens to become leaders in a camp setting.  Teens will learn many skills and techniques for leading activities and directing small groups in a fun setting with their peers.  They will be assigned to specific groups and supervised by a Group Leader and/or experienced staff at all times.  This program is excellent for someone who wants to work with children.  It is also a great program to add to a resume for college applications! 

HOURS:                    8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

LOCATION:             Memorial Junior School

PROGRAM FEE:        $250 per session

SESSION DATES:      July 7 - August 1 (Monday, Wednesday & Friday of each week)

TO APPLY: Please complete the application, including essay and two letters of recommendation. Once completed, email to: lauren.beretin@htboe.org. Application deadline is Friday, June 13, 2025. Once applications are received, interviews will be scheduled, if needed, and applicants will be notified if they've been accepted into the program.  If an applicant is accepted, they will be given a enrollment packet to complete.
