Emergency and Delayed Openings
You will be notified of school closings, delayed openings, and early dismissals because of weather conditions or other emergencies through the Alert Solutions Notification System.  Please make sure that your profile along with all of your contact information is up to date to ensure the timely delivery of any messages. 

In the event of an emergency due to weather or any unforeseen circumstances and schools are closed early, provisions should be made to receive your child at home or with a neighbor. 

In the event of a Delayed Opening, school will begin at 10:45 A.M. with students being dropped off starting at 10:30 A.M.


Children Safety and Drop-Off
It is extremely important that children do not arrive on school grounds prior to 8:30 A.M. because of no supervision and safety concerns.  Please cooperate so we can avoid a potentially dangerous situation.  Equally as important is for you to be a positive role model for students by using the sidewalk around the circle, before and after school. 

For morning drop off, please move your vehicle slowly onto Salem Drive.  All students may be dropped off at the front of the building, where they then walk to the blacktop area.  Here is a diagram of the traffic loop: Morning Dropoff.  Please be patient and avoid passing any cars in the loop area.  All cars are to remain in a single file as students are dropped off.    Please drop off only in the designated area and avoid using the visitors' parking lot as a drop off area. Your cooperation in abiding by these guidelines will help in keeping students safe and the traffic loop free of congestion. 

In the event of inclement weather, the traffic loop will remain the same and students will walk into the building.  Students in Grades K-3 will go the gym while students in Grades 4-5 will go to the cafeteria.  Each of these locations will feature appropriate supervision.

PLEASE NO DOGS ON SCHOOL GROUNDS BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL.
